Through the Fire
Still thinking, listening, reading, and reflecting on 2 Peter 3:10. When the elements melt, is it because the elements themselves are sinful? No, the material world is not intrinsically evil. We had Communion at Church on Sunday...are the elements of the bread and wine evil? No, how could they be? They are symbols of Christ and His redemptive plan to redeem creation through His death and resurrection(after He was risen from the dead He had a material presence). When I think of the fire that God will send at the end of the age, it is a deeply purifying fire where evil will be permanently exfoliated from the created order.
